FOGACT, Portable Decontamination System
Small disinfection system for placement inside equipment chambers.
FOGACT is the first decontamination validation device to achieve complete spatial decontamination by fogging a peracetic acid (PAA) disinfectant within the chambers of various laboratory equipment.
Details
- Small and portable, easy to be installed in various types of laboratory equipment.
- Generate dry fog of 6μm diameter droplets by ultrasonic method for effective vaporization.
- It does not cause condensation and wet inside the chamber, wiping is not required and there is not risk of secondary contamination.
- Easy to use, and automatically calculates the optimal decontamination time based on the initial temperature and humidity inside the chamber.
- Actril Cold Sterilant is safe for humans and environment, neutralization and post-treatment not required. There is no residual toxicity.
- Utilization of catalytic fan enables quick reduction of residual hydrogen peroxide concentration after completion of decontamination.
- Single unit is capable for decontamination up to area of about 0.7m3 (equivalent to safety cabinet with opening width of 1800mm).
- This device cannot be singly operated. Please use the device with a peracetic acid disinfectant like Actril or a product at a concentration equal to Actril.
FOGACT Expander
Since the FOGACT is a compact decontamination system, it cannot decontaminate large volume chambers like 870L. However, it can decontaminate such lrage chambers by using the FOGACT Expander. The features of the Expander are as follows.
- 3 unis of FOGACT fog generator can be connected to the Expander.
- FOGACT Expander connected to 3 units of FOGACT generator can decontaminate up to 2,100L of chambers.
- Just connecting FOGACT generator to the Expander, the generators operate in cordinated manner.
- The expander allows operators to shorten the decontamination time.
- By using the Expander, FOGACT can decontaminate vertical chambers like lockers.

* NOTE: This device cannot be used in an equipment chamber equipped with a cooling source as this will cause condensation. It may also not be possible to use this device in an equipment chamber with extreme temperature variations.
