Obtaining CE marking: NP870 large incubator

We hereby announce that we have started labeling CE marking on our large volume incubator “NP870” since Sep. 2022.

WAKEN B TECH CO., LTD. is a company which offers products related to cell culture and services like maintenance and validation. We have strongly supported researchers by supplying useful products and services since our foundation.
We have many CO2 incubators as main products, especially “NP870”, we have had many inquiries from customers all over the world so far.
Even though customers from Europe often asked to purchase “NP870”, we could not offer because the product didn’t have CE marking.
Additionally, these days the demand of regenerative medicine is increasing, we feel strongly that our NP870 could contribute to the production and development of such medicines, and then we decided to get CE certification.

It was tough challenge for us to get CE marking because it was for the first time to do that. All the parts included in the NP870 must have no chemical compounds regulated by RoHS directive. We must prove that the NP870 does not have such compounds and also declare that those compounds are not included in the product.
In other words, we had to ask all the parts supplier to issue the declaration for each part.
However, you can imagine easily that parts included in the large volume incubator are large quantity and it is very tough for us to collect all the declarations.
Also, NP870 must meet the regulations like EMC(Electromagnetic　compatibility Directive), LVD(Low voltage Directive) and etc. ,too.
Therefore, we cooperated with relevant departments and consumed so much time.

And at last, we have got CE marking on Aug., 2022.

Now we can offer high quality MADE-IN-JAPAN CO2 incubator “NP870” to customers all over the world including Europe.
Besides, we, WAKEN B TECH CO., LTD. would like to expand our business overseas more in the future.
